Whilst some spots become famous amongst the skate community due to their sheer proving-ground size or how dangerous they are, others pop off purely because of location and the skaters that chose to film there. As Quartersnacks reported way back last year when the gaps were first tree-d up, even New York was down with these beachside sand pits. Not particularly big, and far from scary, these little gaps in the ground were simply in the right place both line wise (between the bollards and the ledges) and geographically (there is no better back drop than the beach and some palm trees - although we didn't need the holes filled up with more of the fuckers) to feature in many influential videos. Everybody reading this could ollie these suckers, and that's what made them sick - a spot we could all relate to. Seeing Gino skate these in Snuff made me want to get on a plane from England that day, in much the same way that seeing people skate the big Carlsbad gap made me want to stay safely in bed. If anyone knows of footage of Natas skating them, please link it in the comments. If this montage has a few omissions, I apologise in advance. Actually fuck you.
