Just over a year ago, we began the process of developing a shoe with DC. The slimmed down version of the classic Kalis shoe was the obvious choice for us, so the next thing was choosing our colourway. After numerous mock-ups featuring our faces emblazoned all over them, we settled on white and gum, as you know, we are stuck in the 90s, and that was cool as shit then. And still is.
This whole process began with an art project Leighton had with one-off boards inspired by iconic skate shoes from the 80s and 90s.
The team at DC saw them and loved the DC boards - which set off a conversation about a collaboration between us and them.
Now, nearly 15 months later, we're proud to showcase these ice white bad-boys.
To accompany the shoes we have a MM x DC clothing range including a Varsity jacket, a ribbed sweatshirt, tee-shirt and cap.
Get online to cop some of this gear, or visit your local cool skate shop, (we are not being stocked in any fucking mall shops) it won't be around long. Thank you, @dcshoes.
